Ziski, Read once an Aussie write-up on water/methanol injection. It dealt principally with when such a system shoud operate. Set to go, say on full throttle will empty the resrvior in little time. using the fluid mostly when you didin't need it. Engine has to be getting hot, boost must be high, etc. Guess any shot of it will produce more power not just save the engine. In WWII airplanes it was called "war emergency power".
